In Remembrance – Hank Ball

On January 8, 2023, Henry (Hank) A. Ball Jr. LT Col USAF (Ret) passed away.

Hank graduated from Franklin & Marshall College (Lancaster, PA) in 1963 and joined the U.S. Air Force shortly after graduation serving as a C-130 pilot and flight instructor. He retired in 1984 and was a proud life member of the Order of Daedalians.

Hank spent the next 15 years working for Boeing where he was introduced to the Value Engineering methodology, facilitating multi-disciplinary teams focused on function improvement and cost savings. He was an active member of SAVE International, including time as president of the Seattle chapter. In 1997, Hank won the SAVE International Rising Star Award.
