SAVE Spanish Translation Task Force

By Jacqueline Fahmy – Director, SAVE International

I hope this message finds you well and thriving. We are reaching out to our vibrant community in search of native Spanish speakers who have a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence in communication.

As part of our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, SAVE International has recently completed the initial translation of our VM Guide into Spanish. This document is crucial for our Spanish-speaking colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring they have equal access to our methodologies and practices.

However, to ensure that our VM Guide is not only translated but also culturally adapted and fully understandable, we need your expertise. We believe that a review by native speakers is indispensable for capturing the nuances and ensuring the precision of the translation.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Review the document for accuracy – Ensure the translation correctly reflects the original content in terms of technical terms and industry jargon.
  • Feedback on readability – Your insights on the flow, clarity and overall readability of the text will be invaluable.

What’s in it for you?

  • Contribute to your community – This is a fantastic opportunity to support your fellow Spanish-speaking professionals by making valuable resources accessible to them.
  • Recognition for your contribution – Volunteers will be acknowledged in the document for their significant contribution to this important project.
  • Expand your professional network – Engage with professionals from various fields, enhancing your connections and learning opportunities.

Interested?

Please send an email to the SAVE business office (info@value-eng.org) by March 21 if you are interested in volunteering for this crucial and rewarding task. We will provide you with all the necessary materials and a detailed brief on the review process.

We are looking forward to your positive response and are excited about the possibility of working together to make our VM Guide as accessible and useful as possible.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a difference.
