“Value Talks”

By Sebastian Meindl – VP of the VA/VE Department, VDI

On behalf of the German Value Society within the VDI (Association of German Engineers), it is my pleasure to inform you about a new communication format with our members.

During the pandemic, we introduced the so called “Value Talks.” This is basically a one-hour webinar with a certain topic in the field of VA/VE, either methodology-driven or in the form of a case study. A speaker will give an overview of a presentation with a duration of about 20 minutes. The remainder of the time, questions and answers and general discussion regarding the topic is intended.

The focus of the “Value Talks” is to increase communication with attendees, not just for education purposes. This virtual format is exclusive and free of charge to VDI members and with a free trial membership you´ll be able to access each “Value Talks” that is planned. Please be aware that each presentation/topic is in German unless it is explicitly stated otherwise.

Here are the titles and dates of the next two “Value Talks” (with titles translated):

  • May 19, 2022 – 5:00-6:00 pm MEST: VE Online – Chances and Risks of virtual Team Meetings (Impulse/overview by Jorg Marchthaler)
  • September 22, 2022 – 5:00-6:00 pm MEST: Function Cost Analysis (Impulse/overview by Marc Pauwels)

It would be great seeing you attend our next “Value Talks”. All the best and greetings from Germany!
