2023 Value Summit Recap

By John Corcoran, PE, CVS – Director of Conferences, SAVE International

Greetings, all! Well, the 2023 Value Summit is now history. We sprinted to the finish line with all our preparations and delivered what we believe was a quality Summit. There were over 270 attendees from around the globe and the feedback we have received has been overwhelmingly positive. I am so pleased that the Summit met your expectations and that it was enjoyable to you.

I would like to thank the Value Summit planning committee for all their hard work and support throughout the year. It takes a team effort to put together such an event. I would like to thank all the presenters for sharing their professional experience and expertise in our industry. The presentations were very well received. I would like to thank our moderators for navigating the question and answer sessions for all the presentations. Moderating the Q&A in the virtual platform is not an easy assignment, but our moderators handled it like champions.

I would like to thank Talley for their coordination of this event throughout the year and especially in the last month. The decision to have a virtual Summit was made late last year, so the preparation time was short, but Talley was there for us as we accelerated our preparations. I would like to thank the EventsAir technical support. There was a learning curve for all of us with this virtual platform, but their technical support staff was there for us whenever we needed them.

Lastly, but most especially, I would like to thank our sponsors for their very generous contributions to support our event. Their funding helped to offset the initial expenses to ensure that we delivered a profitable event.

As with any event, there is always room for improvement. In addition to the lessons learned that we noted ourselves, we have received constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement. I want you to know that we hear all your feedback and will strive to make any changes possible that will help us deliver a better event.

And speaking of deliver a better event…preparations are already underway for next year’s Summit. As was mentioned at this year’s Summit, the 2024 Value Summit will be held in-person and we are targeting Nashville, Tennessee as the host city. However, until we have a signed contract with a venue, nothing is confirmed, so don’t make travel plans yet.

The Value Summit planning committee is looking forward to returning to an in-person Summit in 2024. We are up to the challenge to develop a program that meets your expectations, and we look forward to seeing you again in person.

Please stay healthy and safe!
