Editor’s Voice – July 2022

By Anthony Dunams, PE, CVS – Editor, Value World

There are two things I would like to cover in this writing associated with Value World.  The SAVE monthly e-newsletter is called Value World – value and world.  I think this is a very appropriate title for what is important – we are all connected in this world and we should strive to provide value in every aspect of our lives, including work, play, our families and friends, etc.

It is obvious that currently there is not so much value, or a battle on varying positions of value, in this world of ours – war in Europe (value of life), ongoing pandemic (value of health), inflation and recession (value of currency), rights being stripped away (another value of life), etc.  I believe our organization would be remiss without commenting that in today’s world we are at a crossroads between the voice of reason and the opposing voice.  Please continue to spend more time being the voice of reason and the purveyor of value in all areas of your life (and speak up to right a wrong!).

Now focusing on the world of SAVE International.  I am glad to hear the 2022 Value Summit was a success and that meeting in person reinvigorated everyone.  I was not able to make it for I was reinvigorating myself with the stiff winds in Iceland, my wife’s home country.  Please chime in on John Corcoran’s article about future Value Summits – we definitely need to strike the chord between in-person and virtual events and what that looks like, for I believe value is gained by meeting in person as well as airing these critical presentations to a larger audience.

Enjoy this issue and stay cool out there.
